Pastoral Support for Students in More Southerly Synods

As you know, Northern College has been delighted to make the joint appointment of Tim Mountain with North Western Synod. A part of Tim’s role for the college is offering additional support to students and their families in their own local settings – but only across the more northerly synods.

We are now pleased to be able to say that the same sort of additional pastoral support is now available to students living further from the college.  Revd Nathan Eddy, who lives in London, has taken on the role of pastoral support for us. Nathan was trained as a UCC (United Church of Christ) minister in America, but has been a minister in URC pastorates in Manchester (including the University Chaplaincy) and in East Anglia. At the moment, Nathan has a number of part-time roles whilst he undertakes research for his Doctorate as the current holder of the Northern College Mona Powell Fellowship. These roles include co-editing the URC Prayer Handbook, and doing a few sessions of teaching at Northern College. Nathan’s research is based in the Book of Psalms.
